Today is the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda, released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in Japan on February 21st, 1986. One of the most popular game series around, the Legend of Zelda games have sold over 59 million copies through the years.
In 2008, IGN.com supplied a well made April Fool's prank of a Zelda Trailer - coming April 1st - 2009. All in all a great little peak into what a Zelda movie could look like. 2.8 million YouTube view since August, 2008.
Link and company had a short-lived cartoon series in 1989, paired up as part of the Super Mario Bros Super Show. A decent cartoon for the time, but was mostly around to sell cereal.
At least we got Captain Lou Albano doin' the Mario from it.
